Prior Power Solutions has delivered a fluid injection pump system to a customer just seven weeks from initial enquiry.

The company was tasked with designing and manufacturing an ATEX Zone II methanol fluid injection pump system (to fit within a 1m cubed frame) for installation on an unmanned platform. The pump system will be controlled remotely from another location relaying real time flow rates and pressures.

Housed within a 316 stainless steel certified lifting frame and comprising three pumps, digital pressure transmitters and flowmeter the methanol fluid injection pump unit is capable of pumping methanol up to 42 litres/hour with a maximum pressure of 260bar.

Supporting well stimulation on the UKCS, equipment such as this can support security of supply, bringing previously non-viable wells back into economical production by reducing build up of internal well bore deposits.

This project utilised the full range of in-house skills at Prior Power Solutions; design, 3D modelling, manufacturing, and welding.

Following thorough FAT, the unit was dispatched to the client.
