Hydrogen on demand units arrive

The first hydrogen on demand units arrived at Prior Power Solutions today, Wednesday 1st June.

Going on trial with customers and demonstration at exhibitions around the country, this is the start of a step-change for all industries in the achievement of net zero.

Effectively converting existing diesel engines into dual fuel engines, the retrofittable Hydrogen-Diesel Introduction Unit converts deionised water into hydrogen, on demand, reducing diesel consumption by up to 14%.

Reductions in emissions as a result of this technology have been recorded at 80% less diesel particulate matter, 22% less nitrous oxides, 25% less carbon monoxide and 8% less carbon dioxide.

Business Development Manager for Alternative Power Drivers, Paul Dekker Kleyn says, “There has been great interest in this system from a number of industries including agriculture, industrial transport, marine and offshore wind.”

“Demonstration sessions will be on offer at our base in Great Yarmouth over the summer.”
