Volvo deal with Engine Envy announced
A partnership between two Norfolk companies is set to drive growth and create jobs for the pair.
Prior Power Solutions, an authorised Volvo Penta Centre in Great Yarmouth has announced Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers as its first Volvo Penta Service Dealer.
The deal will gain access for both Prior Power Solutions and Volvo Penta to the industrial machinery market in East Anglia whilst providing more opportunities for Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers.
Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers, a family-run business in Downham Market, Norfolk has provided mechanical engineering services for the machinery market right across the UK for the last five years.
“Our relationship with Engine Envy started a number of years ago when we helped them with some technical advice,” says Matt Dack, Business Development Manager with Prior Power Solutions.
“The relationship has grown over the years as we have supported and supplied them with parts from the extensive range of manufacturers we represent.
“Signing up Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers as a Volvo Penta Service Dealer was the next logical step to help drive mutual growth for both businesses.”
Now in its 40th year and having undergone a recent rebrand, Prior Power Solutions has been affiliated with Volvo Penta since the 1990s and received many awards as a dealership over that time.
Providing a wide range of services including engine and equipment sales and repairs, marine and offshore services and the sale of an extensive range of engine and equipment parts, the Great Yarmouth company prides itself in its high level of service and can do attitude.
Thomas Lawes, Managing Director of Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers says: “Having started the business in 2015 we’ve seen year-on-year growth – even through the pandemic this year as we have supported vital utilities and farming.
“We have the collective skills and knowledge to undertake whole-machine repairs and maintenance saving the customer precious down time.
“Volvo Penta is undoubtedly growing in the UK and therefore it is a good time and opportunity to be a part of that expansion.
“Having official Volvo Penta Service Dealer status and being attached to such a high-quality worldwide manufacturer, propels us to the next level in terms of business growth and puts us on the map.
“We anticipated taking on additional staff as a result of this new status.”
Mr Dack continues, “Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers has impressed us with their knowledge of the application of engines in agricultural, construction, industrial and forestry machinery.
“The partnership will provide us with a foothold into new markets and customers and contribute to our growth in Great Yarmouth whilst providing Engine Envy Mechanical Engineers with greater status.”
