As a global leader in the design, manufacture, testing, servicing, installation, commissioning and the support of diesel and alternative power generation equipment, we work closely with the oil and gas, marine, industrial, utilities, telecoms and military sectors.

Our design and manufacture of diesel generating sets is market-leading and includes supply of industrial, offshore and marine generators of 40kW to 1,700kW in either standard or custom units.

For the marine sector, we provide main and auxiliary generators supported by specialist expertise in emergency generator packages. Generator sets are designed to be heat exchanger, keel or radiator cooled depending on requirements.

For the offshore sector Prior Power Solutions offers generator sets from rig safe specification to fully compliant Zone II specification in order to operate safely in hazardous areas.

The extensive knowledge of our team means customers can be assured of the excellence of the provision of both standard and custom equipment whilst meeting exact requirements.

Prior Power Solutions is a distributor for most mainstream engine manufacturers, enabling customers access to the most cost effective and technically complaint solution to meet their requirements.

As designer and packager of diesel driven Zone II powerpacks, Prior Power Solutions offers units ranging from 85bhp to 2000bhp using engines from the various manufacturers we represent.

Explosion protection powerpacks are designed for safe use in Class I Division 2 (NEC500), Class I Zone II (NEC505) – ATEX Directive (94/9/EC) Zone II hazardous locations with category 3G (Zone 2), gas group IIA and T3 (200oC) temperature class certifications.

Prior Power Solutions built Zone II powerpacks are suitable for a range of equipment including wireline, hydraulic powerpacks, nitrogen units, coil tubing, high pressure water jetting and generator sets.

Engines manufactured for operation in Zone II require significant modification and additional components including water cooled turbo and exhaust system, temperature sensors, air inlet shutdown valves, flame arresters and spark arrester on the exhaust system. This prevents any internal explosions from propagating to the external atmosphere.

Diesel engines should not be used in a potentially explosive environments unless they are suitably protected.

Prior Power Solutions offers a range of emission-compliant industrial diesel engines ranging from bare engines to industrial open power units.

Whatever the application, we can supply the perfect solution to meet any power demand requirement.

The industrial engines we offer are from some of the world’s leading manufacturers including Volvo Penta, Perkins, Deutz, Iveco, JCB, John Deere, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Kohler, Scania and Yanmar to name just a few. We are also able to supply additional brands if required.

Our experienced engine sales team can supply industrial engines for stationary and off-road applications and engines for the electrical power generation market.

Cost savings can be made from using the latest emission compliant engines which feature low maintenance, fuel economy and reliability – key factors to keeping the wheels of industry turning.
