Team effort to show appreciation

Staff at Prior Power Solutions have instigated a charity fundraiser to support children and staff at the local hospital.

The team raised money through a draw to buy gifts for the children’s ward at James Paget University Hospital, Gorleston, as well as tasty treats for staff on the emergency wards at the hospital who will be working over the festive period.

Organising the fundraiser, Storeman Matthew Lovick says, “We appreciate the tremendous hard work and sacrifices that NHS staff make over the festive period and throughout the year and wanted to do something in recognition of that.

“We also know how hard it is for children to be in hospital, especially at a time of year when they should be enjoying Christmas at home with their families.

“I’m sure that everybody here at Prior Power Solutions has had involvement some way or another with the James Paget University Hospital and this is just a way of saying a big thank you to all the brilliant staff who have worked tirelessly throughout some very testing times and also hopefully create some happy chocolatey faces for the children!”

Operations Supervisor Karen Dowe says, “It was a great initiative by Matthew to get the whole company involved in something positive for the local community.”
