We undertake all diesel engine repairs. Our services are provided for a vast range of engines such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Deutz, Perkins, Scania and Volvo Penta and we are authorised dealers for many of these engine manufacturers.

Typically, we undertake overhauls to the complete appliance, specialising in engine repowers, associated enclosures and canopy repairs.

As well as refurbishing existing diesel, gas, electric or alternative power-driven equipment to a very high standard we also specialise in the repair and refurbishment of a wide range of ancillary components such as pumps, gearboxes, starter motors and alternators. All equipment is overhauled in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and design standards and our technicians have many years’ experience with all major brands.

ENGINE TEST CELL

Our custom-built facilities at our base in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, incorporates a purpose-built test cell. This facility includes a client witness area and CCTV and is capable of testing engines up to 2,000 brake horsepower with data recorded from an acquisition system.

REMANUFACTURED PARTS

Prior Power Solutions provides a full range of services to allow the complete reconditioning of engine parts including both diesel and petrol engine cylinder heads.

We undertake all works from basic repairs to full reconditioning. Re-building and re-machining corroded and damaged components and meticulously cleaning, reassembling and testing for re-fitting.

Remanufactured to OEM specifications (where available), we don’t just restore the functionality of a component, we carefully completely disassemble each constituent part to clean, inspect, test and requalify. Worn parts are replaced with new, genuine parts and salvageable elements are fully restored. We incorporate any updates or specification modifications during the reassembly.

Following stringent functional tests and inspections, the components we remanufacture are provided with 12 months warranty (subject to terms and conditions) giving you complete peace of mind.

Prior Power Solutions has invested in video reporting and provides this new service to all Volvo Penta customers requiring maintenance or repairs.

Our Volvo Penta-trained technicians now provide personalised video reports to provide total transparency of work required and undertaken.

Presented by the technicians themselves, these reports can also convey operating procedures and customer maintenance checks. Delivered straight to customer’s mobile phone number and email, the bespoke reports provide for simple authorisation of any additional works required ensuring customers are back up and running quicker than ever.
