Our experienced, knowledgeable, and certified marine technicians cover all aspects of marine preventative maintenance and repair.

With a heritage of boat repairs and with over four decades of engine and marine experience, we offer unparalleled mechanical, fabrication and pipework services for all vessel types including crew transfer vessels (CTVs), supply ships, cargo boats, tugs, and other commercial craft.

From engineers and service managers to parts co-ordinators, our entire team understands the importance of quickly responding to customer needs and working within vessel operating parameters. We can rapidly mobilise engineers anywhere in the UK, or indeed the world, who are backed by expert onsite teams. As an official dealer for all major marine commercial engine and driveline brands, we have genuine parts and specialist tools at our fingertips to dispatch 24/7.

Manufacturer-trained with decades of experience, our engineers work on vessels in port during weather windows, through the night or even on voyages to ensure propulsion and auxiliary engines and generators are providing reliable power and mitigate downtime.

We also undertake system upgrades and modifications and sea fastening works with the department’s core skills and experience also deployed into managing complementary non-marine projects including straddle carrier repairs, bridge repair contracts, industrial hydraulic and pneumatic pipework, water and sewage systems, and industrial plant maintenance.

Hybrid Vessel Maintenance

Hybrid vessel support

As the UK’s first service partner for Danfoss Editron, we support new hybrid technology combining highly efficient diesel engines with electric motors through maintenance and repair. The technology, relatively new to the UK, is utilised on some crew transfer vessels requires less diesel fuel and reduces carbon dioxide and small particle emissions.

Driveline Repair

Engine & driveline repair

Maybe there’s an ominous noise or some vibration. Our engineers are on hand to investigate – often starting with an oil sample to check for signs of metal or water. Smaller jobs like gearbox changeouts can take place in port, but for major works, repairs must take place in drydock. With back up of parts and substantial workshops, we undertake all jobs.

Vessel Repair

Preventative maintenance

Regular oil and filter changes along with adjusting valve clearances are critical in keeping engines in tip top condition. Our engineers use the latest specialist diagnostic tools and in-depth technical engine knowledge to provide the best in preventative maintenance therefore mitigating breakdowns which can lead to costly unscheduled downtime.

Wet Exhaust Repair

Fabrication & pipework

Contacted by our customer with a seized engine, our engineers provided a long-term wet exhaust solution to prevent an ongoing issue of seawater entering the vessel’s engine resulting in continued damage and spiralling costs.

Sea Fastenings

Seafastenings

We design and install bespoke sea fastenings that ensure minimal debris after cutting. For a jack up lift barge we produced 400 cleats and 28 steel beams to secure 35 pieces of equipment in just 36 hours.

Bridge Repairs

Bridge repairs

To improve ease of maintenance and safety of operation, we undertook modifications to a local bascule bridge whilst also undertaking routine maintenance and mechanical/ hydraulic repairs and inspections for reliable operation.
